I saw a tutorial on You Tube, on how to cut up old CD's, paint them and then broil them, to get some nice tiles. Well, my stove only has HI and LOW broil settings. So I gave it a whirl. I had the painted tiles about "3 racks" down away from the broiler on HI. It only took a few minutes and I had to get my tiles out. As you can see the they look a bit dried up. OK but not the look I was going for.
