Mini Album.

My Mini Album. I got the base idea from Kristin at apronstringsdesigns.blogspot.com
On the front I used chipboard on the flaps and covered it. That made the flaps stronger.

I made the bead out of magazines.

I actually glued this part on wrong, but it still worked out.

The waterfall insert is made out of envelopes.

                                                           Another insert that unfolds.

                                                       I made the coin envelope.

                                                                     Side pocket.

When you open these 2 flaps you get another piece to unfold.

This is a smaller version of the coin envelope.
You have an outside pocket and when you unfold it you have another pocket.

I hope you like this album. I enjoyed making it. Most likely be making more.
The possibillities are endless. So have fun creating. Blessings  Renate

My first altered notebook.

                                                                      The insert open.

I made the beads myself. One with magazine paper, the other was made out of a plastic bottle.

Gift Card Box Tutorial.

Cut a piece of cardstock 71/4x 63/4.

Then score the the short side at:
1   11/2   51/4    53/4

The long side you score at:
21/4   23/4   51/4   53/4

This is what it should look like when scored.

Now cut all 4 corners out. And round the corners if you want to.

Then fold on your scored lines. Fold in the sides and glue to the bottom flap.
The sides are on the inside.

Then punch 2 holes in it, far enough apart so a dimentional sticker will fit in between.
Then thread your ribbon thru the holes.

This is how I finished mine up. I added a charm to it. You can find the video on how to make this star on: homemade gifts made easy.

Here is another box I made. On the inside I put an origami gift card holder.

This origami gift card holder has 6 pockets and folds in half. You can find instructions for it on you tube. Have fun creating.

Stepper Box Tutorial.

You need an 11 1/4  x 5 sheet of card stock.

Then you score at: 2 1/4, 4 1/2, 6 3/4, 9

Then you cut your panels for the front and back. You will need 10 Panels. Each is 4 3/4 x 2.
I took my center panel and painted it with chalkboard paint. About 5 coats and let it dry.
This is the outside.

This is my inside with the panels.
I found the tutorial on : creatin with Kirsteen. She used a diagonal scoring plate for her boxes. I don't have one. So I went on youtube and looked up instructions for an origami box. Worked great. No scoring, just folding. For each box you need a 6 in square paper. For the lid you need a
6 1/2 in square paper. I only used 3 boxes.

Then you attach your boxes. I used Tombow glue.

I also put a 2x2 square in each box. This way your box won't come apart.

I also attached a mini gift bag on the side, which holds a rag and chalk. And I also changed the color of my lid to red. This is my box closed.

 Side view.

I hope this tutorial was helpful. I enjoyed making these boxes. I'm sure I'll be making a few more.  Have fun creating. Blessings Renate
