Birthday Crate.
I've seen a crate with a lid and back on Pinterest, but no instructions. So I designed my own. I made the lid separate, which worked out better. I used crumbled up plastic wrap and dipped it in my ombre ink pad. Then I just randomly added some UTEE to make the colors "pop".
Inside...
For the back piece I used cardboard and wrapped it in tissue paper.
For the front I made a small bag. I stamped the background in the front only.
I also made a mini clipboard to attach the "30"
It turned out pretty good and it was not too difficult to make.

Business Card Holder.
I made some crates for Easter and thought a smaller version would be just right for business cards.

Small Chest.
While back, I found a video and template for these small chests at: Coul'Heure Papier.
These took a bit to make, but the result is worth it. For the buckle you just use a soda tab.
In her video she showed a different technique on how to make the round part. I had trouble doing it this way, so I figured out a different way to make it. I remembered that did baskets similar to this, and that was a lot easier. You just have to add a 2inch piece to the one side of the lid, and cut it in 1/2inch strips.
On the hinge I added some metal tape to reinforce the lid to the box.
Here I used old dictionary pages for the corners.
On this belt, I put some "stitches" and UTEE on it.
The more you make the easier it gets, and don't use thick cardstock.

Small Backpack (Kleiner Schulranzen).
I found a template at: kreativblogbyclaudi.blogspot.de
I just had to change the measurements to inches.
On the sides I just used my stamp.
I wanted to add my grandson's name, so I just hang it on the back where it can be removed.
On the closure I used the word window punch and the "O"s from my alphabet dies.
I didn't use anything to keep it shut. I had tied it shut for a while and when I took the string off it stayed shut.
On the inside I added some candy for him.
