This is the soap bubble technique. I used distress ink on my card stock. Any color you want to use.

I used a small cup with a little water, a few drops of food coloring and some dish soap...stir every time before you blow bubbles. Use a straw. (I made one out of foil)

Blow bubbles and use inked up cardstock to scoop up bubbles. Set aside until bubbles are gone, and repeat as many times as you want to.

These are my results. From here you can do anything: heat emboss or cuttlebug emboss....possibilities are endless!
